FAQ
Straight answers, including the unflattering ones.
What the platform does, where it runs, and the things it deliberately will not tell you.
Basics
What this is
Start here if you have not seen VerifAIer before.
- What is VerifAIer?
- AI governance infrastructure. It governs what an AI system may do, records what it did, and produces evidence you can show to somebody else.
- Why does it exist?
- AI systems now take actions on behalf of organisations, and those organisations cannot show what happened when they are asked.
- Why is it different?
- Most tools report on AI. VerifAIer records it, in a deterministic form that can be verified offline and read without the product.
- Why should I trust it?
- Because every claim on this site has a limit stated beside it, and because the evidence is yours, in open formats, on your infrastructure.
- What should I do next?
- Run an assessment on your own workspace. Nothing is sent anywhere, and no account is needed. Or book a demo.
Running it
Where it runs and what it needs
The operational answers.
- Where does it run?
- On your infrastructure. Local first, with no VerifAIer service in the path of an assessment.
- Does it send telemetry?
- No. The platform does not phone home, and analytics are off by default.
- Does it work offline?
- Yes. The assessment path and the verifier both work with the network removed.
- Do I need an account to try it?
- No. An assessment runs against the workspace you already have.
- How does it fit my stack?
- Through the command line, the SDK, the MCP server and editor integrations. See Developers.
Limits
What it will not tell you
These are design decisions, not gaps waiting to be filled.
- Does it certify my AI system?
- No. It issues no certification, accreditation or compliance verdict. It records what happened and shows you the record.
- Does it give me a score?
- No. There is no trust score, grade or percentage. An assessment reports how complete it was, not whether you passed.
- Is the evidence signed?
- Receipts are deterministic and content addressed, and they can be checked offline. The platform does not issue a signed attestation, and it says so rather than implying one.
- Does it rank findings by severity?
- No. No capability reports a ranking, so nothing in the product invents one. The findings are shown in the order the engine produced them.
- Does Continuous mode monitor my systems?
- No. Continuous is one explicit run with a repeated intent. It does not activate monitoring, and nothing runs in the background.
- Is any of this legal advice?
- No.
